Gippsland Business Awards finalists demonstrate diversity

Finalists in this year’s Federation Business School Gippsland Business Awards demonstrate the diverse and impressive range of business across the region. The finalists were announced this week, with 48 businesses making it to the final group across 11 industry and specialist categories. Gippsland Business Awards committee chair, Sheridan Bond, congratulated the finalists who were chosen from a very competitive field of entries. “We are thrilled with not only the number of entries this year but also the quality,” Ms Bond said. “Our judges had an extremely difficult task in selecting the finalists so all those businesses who entered this year should be proud of their efforts.” The categories include Accommodation, Beauty and Personal Care, Business and Professional Services, Food Wine Producers, Health and Well Being, Hospitality, Manufacturing / Export, Mechanical Trades and Construction, New Business, Retail, Tourism Activities and Attractions. The category winners will be announced at the gala presentation evening on Friday 30 August at the Premiere Function Centre in Traralgon. The major winner, the Gippsland Business of the Year, will be chosen from the category winners. Ms Bond said the Gippsland Business Awards was highly regarded across the region and those small to medium size businesses selected as finalists should feel proud of their achievement. “The standard is very high and the entry process alone is a really good self-assessment tool,” she said. “We are indebted to our sponsors, especially our major sponsor in Federation Business School, who help us remain the premier regional awards for business in Gippsland. “We look forward to our Gala Awards night which not only celebrates the winners and recognises the achievements of the finalists but is a great networking opportunity for all those who attend.” For further details of finalists refer to 2019 Federation Business School Gippsland Business Awards Finalists.
