2005 Winners of the Bendigo Bank Gippsland Business Awards

| This year’s Gippsland Business
of the Year is ‘Chumba Concept Salon’ a multi award winning (including
2004, 2005 new business award) Hair Salon from Warragul.
The inductee to the Hall of Fame is ‘Valley Windows’ of Morwell
a previous multi award winner in the Manufacturing categories &
Gippsland Business of the year 2002.
The announcement was made at the gala award presentation evening
held on Friday night at the Premiere Function Centre, Traralgon
for the 2005 Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards.
Compered by well known entertainer and television personality,
Denis Walter and featuring Melbourne comedy act “Troupe De Jour”,
the awards evening was again, a huge success and confirmed its place
as the highlight of Gippsland’s annual business calendar.

The Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards drew unprecedented
interest from businesses across Gippsland. Chairperson Jeff Ingram
said: ‘The quality of nominations this year was of a very high quality.
This is a great sign that business in Gippsland continues to improve
across the board. The breadth and quality of nominations demonstrate
that businesses can thrive in a regional environment. The Awards
are a celebration of the great things that are happening in the
Gippsland Business Community.’
Jeff Ingram continued: ‘On behalf of the committee I would like
to congratulate the winners, finalists and sponsors for their support
of the Awards and encourage
businesses who were not finalists or did not nominate this year
to get involved in 2006.’
