the Year
won by:
Patties Foods
Before a capacity audience of 400 people, Patties Foods,
the Bairnsdale business that recently bought ‘Four and Twenty’ Pies
off a multinational business and generated significant new employment
opportunities in East Gippsland was presented with the winner’s
certificate and trophy by Federation Health Chairperson
David Blythman.

other well known Gippsland businesses who have won the prestigious
award in previous years. These include Kiel Industries, Jindi Cheese,
Geo Eng, Gippsland Business Support and Valley Windows. |

In a first for the awards, there was a special presentation to
Yarumba, a school based company auspiced by South Coast Christian
College and Young Achievement Australia.
Rebecca Crouch, Anna Hughes and
Cortney Evans received the award from Les
Hardy from the sponsor Monash University.

The Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards
drew unprecedented interest from businesses across Gippsland.
Chairperson Chris Buckingham said: ‘The quality
of nominations this year was of a very high quality. This is a great
sign that business in Gippsland continues to improve across the
board. The breadth and quality of nominations demonstrate that businesses
can thrive in a regional environment. The Awards are a celebration
of the great things that are happening in the Gippsland Business
Community.’
